I thought there would be enough people who would like to see these things sorted out. My intention to start this topic is to generate info for the specific things a dj/producer needs to know where to promote things, where to find info's about TT's, Mixers, softsynths, effects, sequencers, samplers, monitoring etc

Not everything is completely on the run but there will follow many more

Please do not mess up this thread with stupid questions. Adding more links is appreciated, telling me I'm a great guy too

hey thijs,

when i recently sent our (me and sinsure's) track to somatic sense recordings, i got an email back from pascal (aka dj precision) saying that he has real trouble downloading from yousendit.com and invited me to use dropload.com. I tried this site out and it seems to be very good. The best thing about using this site is that when you send the link of your track to your recipient, dropload notifys you when the recipient has downloaded the file. so that way you KNOW that the label has got your track.

just something to keep in mind.

also i just thought of something else,

i've been doing some research on which record labels i could send mp3's to, and these are the labels that i've found are compatible so far:

- anjunabeats (www.anjunabeats.co.uk)
- somatic sense (www.somaticsense.com)
- mondo records (www.mondorecords.com)
- five am recordings (www.fiveamrecords.co.uk)
- lost language (www.lostlanguage.com)
- adjusted (www.adjustedmusic.com)

i'm sure there are more out there, but these are all top labels that allow you to send them mp3's. when searching their page, click on the "contact" link (or something similar to contact) and that's where you'll find out how to send your demos to them. (ie what their demo email address is.)

feel free to add any more labels here that allow online sending of demos.

hope this helps.
